TITANIA HOTEL - ACCOMMODATION RULES

I. USE OF PROVIDED AMENITIES

Electricity

The power outlets in your room and the common areas of the hotel provide an electric voltage of 220 Volts from the public electricity network.

Force majeure events or other conditions affecting the quality of electricity or the uninterrupted operation of the electricity supplier do not concern the hotel, and there is no obligation for compensation by the hotel.

According to Greek law and for safety reasons, the use of high-power / voltage electrical devices, other than those already installed in the hotel rooms, is strictly prohibited.

However, you can use small personal care appliances and other devices such as mobile phones, laptops, etc without any problem.

For your safety and to prevent electric shocks or short circuits, it is forbidden to connect devices unsuitable for 220-volt power outlets, to insert objects into the sockets, or to place your hands inside them.

If you have small children, for their safety please ensure they are always supervised. Please do not leave devices charging unattended when you are not in the room.

Additionally, avoid any contact between electrical devices and water or operating them in a humid environment.

Laundry, Dry Cleaning, and Ironing

You are obliged to inform us of any special care instructions for the clothes you hand over to us for ironing or cleaning, especially if they lack manufacturer care labels. You should use the laundry form that is available in your room. The hotel’s responsibility, in case of damage due to its fault, is limited to compensation for the actual and current market value of the damaged items.

Key Card

Use the key card both to unlock your room door and to activate electricity in your room. Upon arrival, you will receive two key cards for personal use. If you lose your key card, you should notify the reception immediately so the lost card can be deactivated, and you receive a new one. The hotel’s liability is limited to replacing the card.

Bathroom Safety Measures

Your room’s bathroom may be equipped with a bathtub, shower, hydro-massage, or a combination.

When entering or exiting these facilities, for your safety and to prevent slipping and injuries, the following equipment is provided:

  1. A non-slip plastic mat in showers and a non-slip surface in bathtubs.
  2. A cotton bathmat in all hotel bathrooms.

We ask you to use the equipment for personal protection.

The non-slip plastic bathmat is placed inside the bathroom of rooms that have bathtubs. The cotton bathmat is placed outside the bathtub or shower, in a position where you can step on it when exiting the bathtub or shower, to absorb the water dripping from your body. If, for any reason, the bathroom floor or protective items become excessively wet during use, please inform the reception immediately so that housekeeping can arrange for their replacement or dry the bathroom floor.

The hotel’s responsibility is limited to providing personal protective means and maintaining the facilities in good condition. The use of the bathroom is at your own risk, considering the above-mentioned guidelines and exercising the same care and caution as you would in your own home. If you require anything additional due to special needs or if you need more protective items than those provided, please contact reception.

Hair Dryer

A hairdryer is provided in your bathroom. Be cautious of the air nozzle, as it heats up during use. Do not use the appliance near flammable materials or in wet environments and avoid contact with water.

Safety Deposit Boxes

The hotel does not assume responsibility for safeguarding valuables or money. A safety deposit box is available in your wardrobe for personal use at your own risk. Please note that this is a lockable storage unit rather than a high-security safe. Upon departure, kindly leave the deposit box open after removing your belongings.

II. FOOD & BEVERAGES / SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Mass Dining – Individual Dining

Upon arrival at the hotel reception, you are required to inform us of any personalized dietary needs due to health reasons, including allergies, intolerances, etc. However, this does not exempt you from the responsibility of notifying the manager and service staff of the dining areas about your specific dietary habits each time you visit them for a meal, just as you would when dining at a restaurant for the first time.

In self-service areas, allergen labels are provided for reference. However, it is essential that you confirm with the manager of each dining section whether the foods you choose are free of any substances that may harm you.

Your statement about dietary preferences will be taken into account, and relevant information will be provided through the aforementioned means, but only for mass dining services. The hotel undertakes the responsibility to inform you based on your documented declarations, as outlined above.

Food may not be carried away from the restaurant. In case of illness or special assistance needs, please contact the restaurant maître. In such cases, the hotel will provide complimentary room service.

The introduction and consumption of unpackaged food within hotel premises without prior approval are prohibited. Additionally, consuming grocery items (such as beverages, snacks, or alcohol) in the hotel’s public areas (restaurant, roof garden, lobby, etc.) is not allowed, except for those served by the hotel.

Consumption of Alcohol

Bars serve alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, juices, coffee, etc.

According to the law and for safety reasons, alcohol is served only to individuals aged 18 or older. Staff may request identification for age verification. Hotel personnel are instructed to refuse service to intoxicated individuals and request them to return to their rooms.

The hotel may allow third parties to provide services to our Guests, such as activities, excursions, guided tours, transportation, and other related services. The Hotel bears no liability for any damages, injuries, or accidents that may occur to any Guest using these third-party services.

IV. DAMAGES

Our Guests are responsible for any damages caused to the Hotel room, its furniture, and equipment, as well as to the hotel’s premises, due to any act or omission on their part or that of their invitees. In such cases, the Customer is jointly liable for the damages along with the Guests and their invitees. If any material damages are identified after the Guests’ departure, our Hotel reserves the right to charge the Customer’s credit or debit card. In such cases, the Hotel reserves the right to charge the Customer for the full cost of replacing any items that were destroyed or removed by them, their Guests, or their invitees without the Hotel’s consent. The charge will correspond to the full replacement amount of the lost or damaged item, furniture, or equipment. Damages caused by minors will be charged to their guardian or accompanying adult.

V. HEALTH & SAFETY

Illness – Accident

In the event of any illness or accident, regardless of the cause, you must immediately notify the hotel reception. You will find there the appropriate forms to report the incident. The hotel staff will then take immediate action to contact the relevant authorities or professionals to ensure your care and protection, as well as the safety of other guests and hotel staff.
Failure or delay in fulfilling this obligation may render you responsible for any consequences affecting yourself, the safety of other guests, or the hotel staff.
Please note that informing your travel agency representatives (if you booked through them) does not exempt you from your obligation to notify the hotel reception immediately. Failure to comply with the above, absolves the hotel of any liability toward you.

EARTHQUAKE

Earthquakes rarely occur in Athens. Most seismic tremors are of low magnitude on the Richter scale and are therefore harmless. The hotel has a specially designed earthquake-resistant structure to withstand strong earthquakes. For this reason, there is no need to panic in the event of an earthquake. However, since many of our guests may not be familiar with this natural phenomenon, we provide some basic guidelines.

If you are in your room:

  • Lie down on the floor. A safe and quick option is to lie down next to your bed. You may also stay beside a desk or table.
  • Stay away from glass, windows, exterior doors, walls, and anything that may fall, such as light fixtures or furniture.
  • Remain indoors until the shaking stops and it is safe to go outside. Most injuries occur when people inside a building attempt to move.
  • If you need to exit the building, do not run. Plan your route in advance and remain calm. Do not use the elevator.

If you are outdoors:

  • Stay calm.
  • Keep away from buildings, glass, streetlights, and electrical wires. Once the earthquake has stopped and it is safe to move outside, proceed to the hotel’s designated assembly point outside the main entrance.
